Theories about the "ON" hour...

After reading a bunch of blogs, we came with some hipotesis:

1) everything is a big fat lie from Microsoft trying to put some dirt on Google and the game does not exist. (yeah yeah... how sad...)

2) The game will be "on" between 11:59 am and 3:00 pm on wednesday (MCS internal blog)

3) The game is "on" in some cities already but we are leaving the third world behind because they are socialist and should not been playing a capitalist game. (ehhmm no no... )

4) This one is actually pretty interesting: The game will be launched when the official blog's clock hits the midnight! there's about one and a half hour left then...

There's no way to know what's happening inside Hasbro and Google association, but we are pretty sure that the secret is gonna hit us in the face in just a few hours.

Monopoly City Streets Launchs "design your Building" competition!

A few minutes ago, MCS launched a competition where you can be the next designer of three buildings inside the game! Just pack yours Google SketchUp's skills and win the oportunity to put your name on the building for millions to see it.

-"We've enlisted Google's help to find three new MONOPOLY game pieces. You have the chance to have YOUR building design (and bearing YOUR name) included in the biggest game of MONOPOLY of all time.Use Google SketchUp to design a 3D building, then upload your dream structure to the Google 3D Warehouse to enter it into the competition. You'll need to be at least 13 years old to participate, and you'll need to agree to these Terms and Conditions.The deadline to submit is Sunday, September 27, 2009 at midnight, EST.-"

But that's not all! If Fame, Glory and Recognition it's not enough for you, Google is offering a free Pro License of the SketchUp software valorated in 500 bucks.

Let's see who has the biggest (and weirdest) imagination.

Monopoly city streets... the new WOW?

At this time...WHO hasn't hear about Monopoly city streets? well my friend... pay attention.

Hasbro (with the colaboration of Google Maps and OpenStreetMaps) is about to launch the newest worldwide online game, where you can make your dream, to become a capitalist pig, come true.

If you came to this page means you already checked the official blog of MCS, so i won't waste your time copying-pasting all the info that they got there in here... just the highlights.

- The game is NOT "on" yet.

- It suppose to be launched in the next few hours.

- ALL the streets are available and NOBODY has permission to buy first.

- oh yeah... the game is FREE.

- If you don't have a clue how to play Monopoly, don't worry, this game will help you go through it. But if you lost your house, apartment or mortgage, go play WOW and kill some monsters =).

What we can ASSURE you is that we are not getting any sleepy time 'till the game is "on" so... keep checking us out to know what's going on with MCS.

Tips: Don't try to buy only the important streets (like 5 ave, champs-elysées or quincy st) because i'm gonna have them all =)
